Hi, I’m Andrew, and this is my professional website.Currently I am seeking full time position as a financial analyst. This website is dedicated to my resume, which is also available for download at the lower left hand corner of this page. I hold a BS in Finance and Insurance from Northeastern University in Boston, where I participated in two six month internships as part of the university’s highly ranked co-operative education program. The co-op program proved to be invaluable, not only by solidifying academic studies, but also allowing me to develop professionalism and communication skills that cannot be taught in the classroom. Accounting skills became more intrinsic by reconciling real ledgers; financial analysis was more pertinent when it wasn’t an abstract theory in a book.I was hired full time before I graduated and I put my skills to use as a financial analyst, where I was able to merge my business sense and background in accounting with my creative side through intricate yet telling presentations and reports. My research and analysis often led to company cost reductions by eliminating unforeseen accounting and policy errors before they became problematic and expensive. For example, I once uncovered a $1.2M accounting error that had gone unnoticed by everyone, including our auditors. While my position was eliminated when my company was acquired, this too gave me another important learning experience. I assisted with consolidating and cross-walking my company’s accounting database into our parent company, which was very technical, but proved to be insightful in the mechanics of large corporate accounting software and setup.
